TelstraPlus Multi-Account Dashboard
A customer account number is typically generated when a user creates a Telstra ID. Multi-account users hold multiple Telstra+ memberships, often as primary account holders with the authority to manage accounts for family members or additional services.
How did we do it
Hypothesis
The hypothesis proposed that a well-designed dashboard enhances decision-making by visually presenting key metrics in a clear, organised manner, enabling users to quickly interpret data and take action.
UX design
I set out to improve the experience for customers with multiple Telstra+ memberships by exploring user-friendly patterns tailored to mobile behaviour. To kick off the process, I led an ideation workshop with the design team, product owner, and key stakeholders. After consolidating the insights, I conducted a competitor and best practices analysis, which informed the initial user journeys and proposed UI patterns.
Design critique
I presented the concepts to the wider UX/UI team, inviting feedback to identify friction points and address any concerns. After synthesising the input, I refined the UX to ensure a smoother, more user-friendly experience.
User testing
I developed a fully functional prototype and conducted a usability testing session with five participants. The feedback confirmed we were on the right track—most users found the patterns familiar from other apps, and all participants navigated the feature with confidence.
Visual design
Leveraging MyTelstra’s Design System, I created UI concepts and led a design critique session to ensure alignment with existing features and UI patterns. Additionally, I conducted stress testing across multiple devices to identify and accommodate alternative layouts when accessibility features were activated.
Developer handoff documentation
Ensuring the development team has comprehensive information is crucial for successfully delivering any feature. Once the visual design was finalised, we created detailed developer handoff documentation, outlining design system patterns, spacing, fonts, and accessibility considerations, including screen reader behaviour.
